As a result, they get a close look at traditional village life and terraced farmland. The Matatirtha Chandragiri Hike is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a peaceful outdoor adventure close to Kathmandu.

Along the way, the trek passes Mata Tirta Temple and Bhaleswor Hindu Temple. Therefore, it provides a rich spiritual and cultural experience. The trail also goes through protected forests and pristine natural landscapes. Moreover, it offers a peaceful escape from the city. As hikers gain elevation, they can enjoy fresh mountain air, forest scenery, and beautiful viewpoints overlooking the surrounding hills. Eventually, they reach Chandragiri Hill, one of the best viewpoints near Kathmandu.

At the top of Chandragiri, hikers are rewarded with sweeping views of Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan mountains. Consequently, it becomes a perfect spot for photography and relaxation. On clear days, distant Himalayan peaks create a spectacular backdrop for visitors.

Finally, for those who prefer a less strenuous return, there is an optional cable car ride back to Kathmandu. This makes the trek suitable for both moderate hikers and casual visitors.
