Trip Policy

Retreat Holiday Policy

  1. Minimum number of clients required to conduct the trip is 2 persons. Maximum number in a group is 15 persons.
  2. Departure dates are guaranteed unless there are unavoidable external reasons like, adverse weather, natural calamities, government restrictions, civil unrests, health issues etc.  beyond our control.
  3. The clients are advised to go through the route details and activities schedule given on the site page and are assumed to have understood them.
  4. Clients are transferred to/for one site to another site depending on the route, studios and monastery locations, private taxi/ coach and flight as required.
  5. Retreat activities schedule and routes will be followed as planned only and will not be altered/ changed unless for safety and other unavoidable reasons. However, some rituals/ activity schedules may be adjusted / changed coinciding with auspicious days and special ritual ceremonies in the monastery temples within the retreat period time frame.
  6. Rituals, blessings and spiritual discourses in the monasteries are conducted by lamas, monks, nuns, Khenpo’s, or Rinpoche’s. Retreat activities – meditation, yoga, Taichi, healing therapies, spa treats are conducted by experienced monks, gurus and therapists.
  7. The retreat group is led by an experienced certified English and local language speaking guide.
  8. Basic Thumb Rules – Sanctity of Sacred Sites, Temple/ Shrine Rules, Eco Friendly Practice, Respect to Local Culture, Scheduled Timeline, Civil Manners, No Unlawful Activities etc. are to be followed by every client.
  9. Contact person and number need to be provided to Himaland prior to trip departure for contacting in emergency case.

Heritage Walk Tour Policy

  1. Minimum number of clients required to conduct the trip is 2 persons. Maximum in a group is 11 persons
  2. Departure dates are guaranteed unless there are unavoidable external reasons like, adverse weather, natural calamities, government restrictions, civil unrests, health issues etc.  beyond our control
  3. The clients are advised to go through the tour route details given on the site page and are assumed to have understood them.
  4. Depending on the route and heritage sites, clients are transferred to/for one site to another site by private taxi/ coach at the given times. The tour around the site is slow casual walk ranging from one to three hours in one site.
  5. Tour group is led by an experienced certified English and local language speaking guide.
  6. Tour routes will be followed as planned only and will not be altered/ changed unless for safety and other unavoidable reasons.
  7. Basic Thumb Rules – Sanctity of Heritage Sites, Eco Friendly Practice, Respect to Local Culture, Scheduled Timeline, Civil Manners, No Unlawful Activities etc. are to be followed by every client.

Day Hiking Trip Policy

  1. Minimum number of hikers required to conduct the trip is 2 persons. Maximum in a group is 20 persons.
  2. Departure dates are guaranteed unless there are unavoidable external reasons like, adverse weather, natural calamities, government restrictions, civil unrests, health issues etc.  beyond our control.
  3. The hikers are advised to go through the route trail description details given on the site page and assumed to have understood them.
  4. The hikers are advised to be in a complete set of outdoor outfits suiting to the weather conditions with a good pair of hiking shoes for their own personal safety and comfort.
  5. Physical fitness level of the hikers is expected to be good enough to walk on casual to moderate difficult routes for a duration range of 3 to 7 hours depending on different routes.
  6. Hiking group is led by an experienced certified English speaking guide whose guiding instructions should be followed.
  7. Hiking routes will be followed as planned only and will not be altered/ changed unless for safety and other unavoidable reasons.
  8. Basic Thumb Rules – Eco Friendly Practice, Respect to Local Culture, Scheduled Timeline, Good Social Manner, Team Spirit, No Unlawful Activities etc. are to be followed by every hiker.
