Kumar is one of the leading tour guides in Nepal specializing in Buddhist and Hindu culture and also was elected to the high position of the president of Tour Guide Association of Nepal (TURGAN) for one term. He is in the guiding profession for the last 30 years. Kumar speaks three languages, Nepali, English and Hindi.
