Starting from the UNESCO-listed Changu Narayan Temple, the route gradually ascends through peaceful countryside landscapes. As a result, hikers enjoy a perfect blend of nature, culture, and panoramic Himalayan views. This short yet rewarding hike is ideal for travelers who want to experience authentic rural Nepal without venturing far from the capital.

As you leave the ancient temple behind, the trail passes through charming Tamang hill villages. Here, traditional lifestyles remain largely untouched by modern urbanization. Along the way, you will witness locals engaged in farming and children playing in village courtyards. You will also experience warm hospitality that reflects Nepal’s rich cultural heritage. Moreover, the journey becomes even more beautiful with terraced farmlands stretching across the hillsides.

Forest Trails and Himalayan Views

These landscapes are especially vibrant during planting and harvest seasons. Along the Changunarayan Nagarkot Hike, visitors can enjoy peaceful forest walks, fresh mountain air, and stunning viewpoints overlooking the surrounding hills.
