This is a one-day moderate hike starting from Matatirtha, a serene area in the outskirts of Kathmandu, and ending at Chandragiri Hill (2475m). The trail offers a mix of nature, culture, and spiritual experiences. Hikers walk through Kathmandu countryside towns, rural hill villages, and local markets, getting a close look at traditional village life and terraced farmland.
Along the way, the trek passes Mata Tirta Temple and Bhaleswor Hindu Temple, providing a spiritual and cultural experience. The trail also goes through protected forests and pristine natural landscapes, offering a peaceful escape from the city. At the top of Chandragiri, hikers are rewarded with sweeping views of Kathmandu Valley and the Himalayan mountains, making it a perfect spot for photography and relaxation.
